About The Role

We are currently seeking a Business Insights & Analytics Analyst. This role advances our analytical maturity in the fast-paced retail and direct sales industries. Going beyond standard reporting, the position focuses on uncovering what is happening, why it is happening, what is likely to happen next, and what the business should do about it. The ideal candidate is a curious, commercially minded analytical thinker who can translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations while partnering with business leaders to drive better decision-making.

What you’re responsible for:

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, relationships, and business opportunities, going beyond standard reporting to uncover the “so what”
  • Translate analytical findings into clear insights, recommendations, and actions that support measurable business outcomes
  • Apply statistical analysis, forecasting, segmentation, and other advanced techniques to solve business problems
  • Identify opportunities to use predictive analytics and machine learning to understand drivers and anticipate future outcomes
  • Partner with business leaders to translate challenges into analytical questions, hypotheses, and actionable insights
  • Provide analytical thought partnership on strategic and operational decisions (forecasting, workforce planning, sales performance, customer behavior, and operational performance)
  • Leverage generative AI and AI-powered tools to accelerate data exploration, research, analysis, and insight generation
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other functions to understand needs and identify analytical opportunities
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations when appropriate to communicate insights and support decisions
  • Use tools such as SQL, Python, Domo, Power BI, Tableau, and other analytical technologies to explore, analyze, and communicate data
  • Partner with BI Developers and data teams to ensure analysis is based on accurate, reliable data and to translate requirements into scalable solutions

To join our team

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, financial analytics, market research, statistics, or a related analytical role (retail or data-driven environment preferred)
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills, with experience applying statistical analysis, forecasting, segmentation, predictive analytics, or other advanced techniques
  • Experience with analytical and visualization tools such as Python, Domo, Power BI, Tableau, R, or similar
  • Familiarity with machine learning, generative AI, and AI-powered analytical tools, with interest in applying emerging technologies
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with ambiguity and independently identify opportunities from data

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, compelling insights for non-technical audiences

The salary for this role is $71K to $78K, with a yearly eligible 5% bonus. Your final compensation will reflect your years of experience and beyond the numbers, we’re proud to offer a holistic package that includes:

  • Generous time off: Start with 3 weeks of vacation.
  • Comprehensive benefits package: Includes medical, dental, vision and a health spending account.
  • Retirement support: Company-sponsored RRSP matching program to help build your financial future.
  • Award-winning culture: Proud to be one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 8 years running — now a Platinum Club member.
