The Position: 14-month contract

 

The Events Administrator will be responsible for planning, organizing and executing a variety of events for the mobile division of Samsung Electronics.  With directions from the Manager of Retail and Learning Strategies, the Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of online and in-person events.  The candidate must be a motivated self-starter, extremely detail-oriented and comfortable working on a variety of events.

Contract: 14 months

 

What you’re responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of field events, roadshows, field marketing and training initiatives, campaigns, and national/regional meetings
  • Utilizing project management tools to track project deliverables and timelines
  • Identifying/managing assets, labor and logistics required for execution
  • Managing budgets, forecasting and reporting to senior management on forecast versus actual spend
  • Researching and procuring branded promotional materials used in the field
  • Working closely with Regional Sales Managers and Training Team to ensure proper facilitation and support is provided at all events
  • Establishing/maintaining good relationships with venues and vendors
  • Ensuring the Samsung brand remains top of mind, up-to-date and exciting to Retail Sales Associates and Field Teams at all supported events
  • Preparing post-event reports, reviewing impact and ROI

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships, internally and externally, with multiple stakeholders
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • 3+ years in event/project administration/coordination in retail, retail operations, merchandising, sales, marketing, account management or related field
  • Must possess the ability to proactively build strong relationships within a diverse organization
  • Must possess exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple on-going priorities
  • Superior organizational and planning skills are required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in English (French is an asset)
  • Bachelor’s degree, with emphasis in business or marketing is an asset
