About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will support the execution of nationally driven programs, events and other local initiatives. Working closely with multiple teams and various internal and external partners, the Marketing Manager will ensure all current and future sales and marketing initiatives are effectively communicated to the field and to applicable stakeholders accurately, effectively and on time.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize pricing strategies across OSL’s telecom operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing pricing performance and recommending data-driven adjustments.
  • Oversee pricing updates across systems, channels, and teams to ensure accuracy and speed.
  • Serve as the primary contact for telecom carrier partners regarding pricing, offers, and communications.
  • Manage the Marketing team, providing coaching, direction, and professional development.
  • Manage the creation or distribute all store support tools for Marketing, Merchandising and Promotions (Flags, Price Files, Cheat Sheets, In-Store Marketing, Carrier Events)
  • Proactively identify issues with promotions, planograms or other in-store Marketing and/or Carrier initiatives.
  • Oversee the creation of merchandising materials (in-store POP, signage, in-store videos, Digital Screen creatives) where applicable.
  • Coordinate the deployment of supporting marketing materials and manage the corresponding logistics (POP, Dummies, Live Demo’s, and Signage).
  • Prioritize team workloads and ensure timely execution of key initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Carriers, Original Equipment Manufacturers and Clients to develop and deploy a launch plan for any new product and to ensure pricing and communications strategies are aligned.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the Pricing and Communication platform by using market research, strategic deployment methods and new technologies.
  • Deliver regular reporting on pricing trends, carrier interactions, and team outcomes to the Director of Marketing.
  • Ensure the price files within RQ and any other system are maintained with current data, pricing, and attributes regarding data points.

 

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail operations within the wireless space and in a managerial role.
  • Strong Operational background with Sales experience in wireless / electronics retail.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret and report on data is a must.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in Excel, pricing tools, and CRM systems.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines are a must.
  • Must display strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • MS Office proficiency is required.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as required to meet the needs of the business.
